The University of Baghdad organized a solidarity stand in support of protesters opposing Zionism and advocating for Palestine in American and European universities. The event was attended by the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof.Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, and the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Prof.Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, along with several deans, professors, staff, and students.
Participants in the stand expressed their full solidarity with students from European and American universities, who are demanding an end to the injustice against the Palestinian people and their right to establish an independent state. They emphasized the necessity of halting Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip, which has persisted since October 7th last year.
In turn, Prof.Dr. Bahaa, stated that the stand carries a message of support and solidarity with the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, noting that the Iraqi people share moments of pain with the inhabitants of Gaza who are under the bombardment of the Israeli war machine.
The gathering included the display of images of martyrs and the atrocities committed against children and civilians as a result of the brutal bombing, as well as the raising of slogans condemning the silence of human rights organizations and foreign governments regarding these bloody massacres that claim the lives of innocent civilians in Gaza.
