The University of Baghdad hosted several representatives from universities in the European Union to discuss ways to develop scientific and academic exchange in coordination with the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations at the Ministry of Higher Education and the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations at the Presidency of the University of Baghdad, along with the Capacity building project funded by the European Union. The meeting was attended by the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof.Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, and the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Prof.Dr. Suhail Najm Abdul.

The purpose of the visit was to strengthen scientific, academic, and cultural cooperation between the University of Baghdad and its research centers and reputable European universities to enhance and develop academic expertise at the host university. Discussions also focused on continuing collaboration with EU universities and the possibility of initiating new projects within the Erasmus program.

In turn, Prof.Dr.Bahaa, stated that the delegation comprised a number of professors from three German universities: Brandenburg University of Technology, Darmstadt University, and Bonn-Rhine-Sieg University, in addition to representatives from the American University of Beirut.
