The College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad organized the First Iraqi International Conference on Dental Implantology and Periodontal Diseases, in academic and professional cooperation with Al-Ghadeer Specialized Dental Center and Al-Mustansiriya University, and in the presence of the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Al-Hashemi, the Dean of the College of Dentistry at Al-Mustansiriya University, Prof. Dr. Maha Jabr Al-Ani, and a constellation of lecturers with specialists from inside and outside Iraq.
The conference aimed to strengthen and open the horizons of international partnership with Arab and international universities and the private sector, in addition to raising the scientific and practical efficiency of specialists, as the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Al-Hashemi, indicated that the conference represents an important step towards enhancing communication and scientific and research interaction with Iraqi and foreign researchers. The conference discussed developments in various dental specialties such as oral and maxillofacial surgery, prosthetics, dental implants, and orthodontics, as well as dental diseases and surgery, and basic sciences related to dentistry.
