Dr. Harith Mohammed, Director of the Department of Media and Government Communication at the University of Baghdad’s Presidency, hosted Mr. Yousef Mahboub Fadil, the representative of Relations and Media at the Ministry of Interior’s General Directorate for Drug Affairs. The meeting took place at the Presidency of the University of Baghdad and included Mr. Zaid Mohammed Hameed, the head of the Public Relations Division within the department.

Discussions centered on fostering collaboration between the University of Baghdad and the General Directorate for Drug Affairs in raising awareness about the dangers and societal impacts of drug use. Additionally, potential joint initiatives and strategies to spread awareness among students were explored.

In turn, Dr. Harith underscored the significance of partnership between the university and the General Directorate for Drug Affairs in combating the risks of drug abuse, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to fostering collaborative efforts with relevant stakeholders. Mr. Yousef praised the University of Baghdad’s role in awareness-raising and stressed the importance of utilizing the university’s resources to educate the student community.

This visit aligns with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the University of Baghdad to strength collaboration with all state institutions, thereby serving the educational process and our country.
