Prof.Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, the President of the University of Baghdad, conducted an inspection tour of the campus of the College of Nursing and its scientific branches, accompanied by the Dean of the College, Prof.Dr. Wissam Jabbar Qasim, and the Assistant Deans for Academic and Administrative Affairs.

The buildings were inspected, and the recent renovations were reviewed, which included the refurbishment and upgrading of classrooms and laboratories for undergraduate and graduate students. Additionally, the facades of the college, its corridors, college gardens, and the building of scientific branches were upgraded. The President of the University also inaugurated the classrooms for undergraduate students and educational laboratories after their rehabilitation and development by the college administration.

Ansaf also met with the members of the college council, discussing the achievements of the college during the current academic year while simultaneously listening to their suggestions and inquiries. Additionally, a meeting was held with the director of the editorial board of the National Journal of Nursing Specialties to discuss the efforts of the College of Nursing’s administration and editorial board members in completing the requirements for the journal’s inclusion in the Scopus database.

During the tour, the President of the University emphasized that the university, in general, is undergoing significant updates in its programs and scientific plans to ensure its alignment with the responsible changes that enhance the institution’s academic reputation. He stressed the importance of excellence and innovation to secure a leading position among its global university counterparts, highlighting the necessity of working as a cohesive team. He commended the efforts made by the college administration in completing their tasks efficiently and called for further dedication and effort in service of our university.
