The Department of Physics at the College of Science at the University of Baghdad organized a large solidarity festival to emphasize the centrality of the Palestinian cause, and full support and solidarity with the Palestinian people in their legitimate struggle for freedom and independence, in the presence of the Rector of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi, Dr. Amir Faisal Abdul Amir, Assistant of the Rector of the University for Administrative Affairs, Dean of the College of Science, Dr. Raed Faleh Hassan, and a number of teachers and students.
In his speech, Al-Saadi stressed his solidarity with the Palestinian people as a result of the aggression they are subjected to, expressing his respect for the will of this steadfast people and their struggle, stressing that the Palestinian cause is the central issue of the nation, and no matter how much anguish intensifies in front of this criminal war against the Palestinian people in Gaza, this war and all its tools will not break the will of this people, as it is more determined to extract its freedom and independence.
The ceremony also included the opening of a plastic art exhibition held by students of the Department of Physics on the sidelines of the festival, which included artworks in solidarity with the Palestinian cause and the aggression to which the people of Gaza are subjected, as well as speeches, poems, artistic and cultural events and a theatrical show that dealt with part of the Palestinian cause, all of which expressed the absolute rejection of displacement and genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
