The Rector of the University of Baghdad, Prof.Dr.Munir Al-Saadi, recently received the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Communications for Technical Affairs, Mr. Wadi Karim Wadi, and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, they discussed the possibility of leveraging from university experiences and faculty members to support the communications sector in Iraq, establishing a digital data center for the ministry with the help of the university’s computer center, and benefit from the human resources system developed by our university to streamline administrative processes.
For his part, Mr. Wadi stressed that the University of Baghdad possesses competencies that must be utilized to serve the project of digitizing the Iraqi state, and that the digital transformation project is the responsibility of all parties in the state.
Finally, an agreement was reached to extend Internet service via optical cable to the University of Baghdad, promoting ongoing collaboration among state institutions for the benefit of Iraq.
