This Sunday morning, 2,012 students commenced their graduate studies for the academic year 2023/2024. They are enrolled in various programs including higher diplomas, master’s degrees, and doctoral programs, which are part of the 428 programs offered at the main university.
The students admitted this year are categorized into three groups: those under the general channel, those who are covering their own expenses, and those who receive privileges. This also includes students who were admitted last year and those who are returning to continue their studies in the first semester, which begins today, Sunday, 10 September.
This timing coincides with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s announcement of a program aimed at enhancing the scientific research skills of postgraduate students in Iraqi universities. The program is designed to equip students with the necessary tools to develop their skills and broaden their research fields in postgraduate studies. Its ultimate goal is to enhance the educational process and contribute to the betterment of our country, Iraq.
