In accordance with the directives of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, to the universities to support the Hussainian visit, and under the supervision of the Rector of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi, our university has rallied all its resources to support the visitors of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
This involved equipping air-conditioned buses for the transportation of visitors between Baghdad and the holy Karbala, as well as setting up voluntary camps along the visitors’ road to provide medical and logistical support and to clean up the area on both sides of the road. Additional tents will also be erected to offer services to the visitors of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
This endeavor arises from the University of Baghdad’s unwavering dedication to revitalizing the Husseini traditions and enlightening students about this significant subject. It signifies our university’s crucial role in nurturing a generation of individuals characterized by science and sobriety, thereby contributing to the progress of our cherished nation while steadfastly adhering to the values and principles of the Husayni faith.
