Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi, the Rector of the University of Baghdad, the Studies and Planning Department at the university held an electronic symposium on Zoom via the University of Baghdad platform for sustainable development entitled “Quality of Education and Our Educational Institutions”. A large number of researchers, professors and students participated in this symposium.

Dr. Haitham Jabbar Taha, an international expert in the quality of education and academic accreditation, gave a lecture at the symposium and said that quality of education lies in paying more attention to effective teaching methods that are based on supporting the capabilities of learners and developing their internal talents, a set of practical skills, and applied behavior that is in line with developments as well as the variables of the times, and that the reform of education needs a comprehensive view that cares about all aspects and fields. The reform must be based on quality and quality in the various components of the educational system. That is why some leading countries in the field of education have chosen to adopt the quality system in reforming their educational systems.

This symposium comes within a series of symposiums that are held on the University of Baghdad platform for sustainable development, which was launched by the Baghdad University last month, headed by the Director of the Studies and Planning Department, Dr. Manal Al-Kubaisi. This platform will provide a space for dialogue and work towards positive change to go up community awareness for the advancement and achievement of sustainable development goals.
