Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, the rector of the University of Baghdad, has visited the Postgraduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies to inspect the workflow there and was received by the dean of the institute, Prof. Dr. Faiha Abdullah Yaqoub, and the assistant dean, Assist. Prof. Dr. Wafaa Hussein Salman.
The rector was briefed on the rehabilitation of the additional building and the achievements of the institute, where he exchanged talks with members of the Journal Unit since the institute has received this year (100) scientific research papers from Iraqi and Arab scholars, as well as researchers from Turkey and Iran. Dr. Munir al-Saadi indicated his keenness so that the Journal of Accounting and Financial Studies (JAFS) enters in Scopus to raise the position of the University of Baghdad in international rankings, asserting the need for coordination with foreign scholars for publishing research in English in sober open access journals.
