The Head of the History Department at the College of Education for Women, Prof. Dr. Abdullah Hamid al-Attabi, has participated in the proceedings of the Third Scientific Conference of the Karbala Heritage Center of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine with a research paper entitled (The Diplomatic Thought of Sheikh Muhammad Taqi al-Shirazi).

During this event, Dr. Abdullah al-Attabi spoke about the correspondence of the leader of the religious authority, Sheikh Muhammad Taqi Al-Shirazi, with the King of Hejaz, Sharif Hussein, during which the reference confirmed the demands of the Iraqi people, which centered on the fact that Mosul is an integral part of Iraq, a constitutional democratic government and an Arab king restricted to a parliament, as well as the letters of the Shirazi referring to the League of Nations and the presidents and kings of Turkey, Iran, the Netherlands and France, in addition to the letters of reference to the US President Woodrow Wilson and the 12 items announced at the Paris Peace Conference and Treaty of Versailles that referred to Liberation of non-Turkish peoples from Ottoman occupation and the right to self-determination.
