The English Language Safety Unit at the College of Science has organized a specialized training course entitled “Developing English Language Skills and Performing Exams” with the participation of a number of English language teachers and those wishing to develop their skills in this foreign language. The course aimed to develop the capabilities of the college’s teaching staff in the field of teaching English and its exams, as part of the college’s endeavor to develop skills in this language, especially since the college’s curricula adopt English in teaching, leading to upgrading and formulating exam questions to perform exams and curricula adopted in teaching.
The course was presented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Muthanna Hamid Khalaf who provided fruitful information on reviewing and evaluating the curricula of the English linguistics, introducing the attendants to how to prepare exam questions and performing correction through the use of the computer, as well as standing on the fields of language in writing, speaking and skills, due to their importance in the scientific and research fields, the use of modern sources and references, and the style of speaking, pronunciation and correct pronunciation, enabling teachers to develop their teaching and scientific skills.
