The Department of Biochemical Engineering at Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering has organized an applied scientific visit for the students of the third grade to the State Company for Dairy Products / Abu Ghraib Dairy Factory in Baghdad under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abd Attia al-Sarraj. This visit came within a series of applied scientific visits and field tours held by the college to contribute to the development of the applied reality, and these visits come to all state service and industrial institutions in order to prepare engineering cadres to the labor market.
Dr. Muhammad Al-Sarraj stressed that this applied scientific visit achieved many benefits for students, as the students got acquainted during roaming with many factories, including Al-Rafidain Factory, and includes people, the most important of which is the Division of Receiving Raw Milk, as it receives, cools, sorts, modifies milk and distributes it to the production departments, each according to its specialization after conducting all laboratory tests, the Division of Sterilized Milk, the Division of Milk, the Division of Butter and Cream, as well as the Division of Cooked Cheese Production. The production lines and laboratories were reviewed from the beginning of the receipt of the raw material to the various stages of production, sorting, packaging, cooling, storage and marketing to local markets.
