Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, the rector of the University of Baghdad has recently presided over the 8th session of the university’s council to discuss a number of scientific and administrative matters in the presence of the deans of all colleges, postgraduate institutions and centers. The council discussed the issues of undergraduate and postgraduate students in postponing the study for health or humanitarian reasons and reducing wages for a number of cases, as well as granting the title of experienced professor to a number of retired university professors to benefit from their scientific expertise in supervising and giving lectures during the long years of service. The council also discussed the entry of the University of Baghdad in the Turkish University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP), where it got the first position locally and the (1431) out of (3000) international universities, (198) places ahead of last year and the second place locally last year, as well as in the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking, it got the 4th place locally in the (247) status out of (1050) international universities.
