The students of the college of engineering participate as clean-up ambassadors in the International Volunteer Day

A number of students of various departments at the college of engineering has participated in a wide cleaning campaign held at Abu Nawas Gardens as part of the initiative launched recently on the occasion of the International Volunteer Day that is an international observance mandated by the UN General Assembly in 1985, as being Iraq’s clean-up ambassadors.  It is noteworthy that this initiative aims to spread awareness and promote the service reality of the community through the participation of the students who intended towards cleaning of a large area of the banks of the Tigris River. This initiative was also attended by the rector of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Munir Al-Saadi, the director of the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance, Dr. Omar Falih, and the dean’s assistants of the college of engineering.
