The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Medicine has organized a training course on flexible diagnostic laryngoscopy (DFL), presented by two professors from the General Surgery Branch specialized in ear, nose and throat: Assist. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohi Rashid and Assist. Prof. Dr. Azzam Mohsen Abbas. The training course that has lasted for 4 days at the ENT Consultancy at the Baghdad Teaching Hospital in the General directorate of the Medical City also included a practical training for postgraduate students on flexible diagnostic laryngoscopy.
The training course aimed to develop the skills of postgraduate students in the specialization of ear, nose and throat in conducting this important examination and diagnosing emergency cases such as foreign body in the pharynx, as well as cold cases such as vocal cord paralysis, laryngeal tumors and other diseases. As part of its periodic activities, the Continuing Education Unit has been organizing many training courses, workshops and specialized seminars in various scientific and medical fields to develop the skills and expertise of the college’s researchers, professors and working staff, in a way that contributes to sustainable community development.
