The College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad has organized a scientific symposium entitled (Drugs) in the presence of a number of professors and students of undergraduate and postgraduate studies with the aim to raise awareness and educate students about the harms of drugs and their consequences in the family and community, as well as introducing the attendees to the biological composition of drugs, as well as the most important symptoms and signs and the role of the educational institution in detecting and reducing cases of drug abuse.
This event also included the most important themes, the most important of which are the biology and types of drugs abuse, and the role of the family and the educational institution in reducing the phenomenon of drug spread. The researchers called in the symposium to several recommendations, including emphasizing the role of the family in following up the upbringing of children as it is the basis in any society, as well as the role of the school in raising children, as well as the need to emphasize the religious and tribal role to reduce the phenomenon of the spread of drugs, and finally the role of science and legal institutions to reduce this phenomenon.
