Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi, the rector of the University of Baghdad, has attended the annual festival commemorating the martyrdom of the leaders of victory and their comrades, which was sponsored by the Popular Mobilization Commission in cooperation with the University of Baghdad, and in the presence of a number of public and academic figures. The festival, which came under the slogan (Martyrdom and Sovereignty), aimed to commemorate the martyrdom of Hajj Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and the Commander Qassem Soleimani, who were assassinated by treachery on the road to Baghdad International Airport. The festival included speeches that explained the important and leading role of those leaders in liberating Iraq from the clutches of the terrorist ISIS, where poems were recited in this anniversary to glorify their heroism on the battlefields.
