The University of Baghdad hosted the 10th meeting of the Opinion Authority headed by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, in the presence of the advanced staff and the rector of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, and all the rectors of public universities. The minister of higher education reviewed the ministry’s procedures regarding hiring the employees who have been contracted with and the mechanism of their appointment, while reiterating the observance of employee entitlements and the privacy of each university in scientific programs.
The members also voted to form a ministerial committee to study and formulate appropriate recommendations and proposals for the application of the course system in universities starting from the next academic year as well as to approve that the deadline for the binding amendments to the doctoral and master dissertations. Also they voting on not to affect the work of the faculty member with regard to the civil defense guards and authorizing the university’s rector, a body or a council to organize such matters. His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi concluded the meeting by directing to form a specialized committee to review the scientific research index and the research publishing requirements to figure out the percentage of achievement in accordance with the annual plan of the workflow of each university.
