A professor from the college of education for women is selected as chairman of a symposium on social protection systems in Iraq

Prof. Adnan Yassin Mustafa, a lecturer from the Department of Sociology at the College of Education for Women, has been selected as an expert and chairman of a symposium sponsored by the Ministry of Planning in cooperation with the International Labor Organization. The workshop included a number of presentations made by Dr. Amjad Rabi from the International Labor Organization, the Director General of the Department of Human Development at the Ministry of Planning, Dr. Maha al-Rawi, and the Executive Director General of the Poverty Alleviation Strategy, Dr. Sabah Jundi Mansour. The workshop is the first activity within the intellectual dialogue forum between the Ministry of Planning and the basic and sectoral ministries between the International Labor Organization with regard to the labor market and the social protection program in Iraq, which comes at the top of the priorities of the Iraqi government.
