Dr. Basheera Muhammad Ridha Mahmood, Dr. Sadiq Habib Abdul Hussein, and Assist. Lecturer Marwah Abdul Razzaq from the Department of Computer Engineering at the University of Baghdad, in conjunction with other researchers from outside Iraq, have participated in publishing a joint research in an international journal (Sensors) entitled: “3D-Obiect Recognition Using Fast Overlapped Block Processing Technique “.
It is noteworthy that this journal is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal on the science and technology of sensors, published semimonthly online by MDPI and it is listed in Scopus and Clarivate Analytics databases. The University of Baghdad and the deanship of the college of engineering always direct researchers, postgraduate students and professors to publish scientific research in sober journals within the global repositories as a contribution to raising the academic status of our university in international rankings. In this study, the researchers tried to find an efficient method for obtaining high recognition accuracy with low computational complexity for 3D object recognition with low computational complexity through the use of a fast overlapped technique, which deals with higher-order polynomials and high-dimensional objects.
