The Department of Home Economics at the College of Education for Women, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, held a workshop entitled “The Environment and Child Creativity”, delivered by the Assist. Lecturer Noor Hussein Abdul Jalil in the presence of a number of professors and students.

The workshop aimed to identify how the environment affects the child’s creativity, identifying how to find a new and original solution to a scientific, practical, artistic or social problem, as well as the factors that help develop the child’s creativity. The workshop reached at a set of recommendations, including encouraging the child to express his opinion on what is happening around him, encouraging him to make decisions that concern him, providing the child with tools that help him develop his imagination, such as drawing tools, cubes, etc., and encouraging the child with words of praise when he does a distinguished work.
