Prof. Dr. Najlaa Abbas al-Zuhairi, Prof. Dr. Nihad Muhammad Alwan and Prof. Dr. Huda Abdul Sami, in cooperation with Prof. Dr. Haider Salman Mohsen from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Karbala have participated in two extensive lectures held and sponsored by the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women at the University of Baghdad targeted towards the postgraduate students for the doctoral and master’s stages at the two sides. The first one was entitled (An analytical study of the reality of scientific research for graduate students: problems and solutions) while the second one is entitled (Pedagogical objectives and their employment in modern teaching strategies according to technological development), under the auspices of the dean of the college, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Malih.
The first workshop was delivered by Dr. Najla al-Zuhairi and Dr. Haider Salman, who explained the importance of master’s and doctoral graduate students’ knowledge of the main problems in scientific research, as well as identifying solutions that can be resorted to in the event that the researcher encounters one of these problems, in addition to introducing students to the correct methods for diagnosing problems faced by scholars when authoring descriptive and experimental research, concluding with a set of recommendations, including enabling students to lay the foundations of their studies by choosing and formulating the problem or the subject matter appropriately and diagnosing it accurately, the need for the student to know the basic principles for the success of his research by depending on adequate information, reviewing information resources, as well as the need to keep pace with all updates in the field of science and technology.
The second workshop was delivered by Dr. Nihad Muhammad and Dr. Huda Abdul Samie, who addressed modern teaching strategies in general and how to apply them in the physical education lesson, in addition to identifying the process of evaluating and measuring results using pedagogical methods via effective mechanisms, and reaching at some recommendations, the most important of which is not to employ any strategy in the sports field, no matter how modern, unless its steps are applied in the educational and applied aspects, innovating methods and methods within the pedagogical goals to achieve the educational goals in the lesson, using pedagogy as an art of teaching. At the end of the two workshops, the dean of the college, Dr. Fatima Abd Malih has awarded Dr. Haider Salman with the college’s shield and a letter of thanks and appreciation in appreciation of his efforts and effective contribution to the establishment of such scientific workshops in the service of the postgraduate students, wishing him all success in the service of our beloved country.
