The Department of Civil Engineering at the College of Engineering has organized a sports festival under the auspices of the dean of the college, Prof. Dr. Saba Jabbar Neimah, and under the supervision of the head of the Civil Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Abbas Abdul Majeed. The aim of this festival is to create a spirit of competition and cooperation among the students through volunteer teamwork.
The festival included several sessions, starting with a speech delivered by the dean welcoming the attendees, introducing the volunteer team and its goals, a speech by the head of the Civil Engineering Department, and reciting verses of poetry by the students, then a five-a-side football league match. Then the dean of the college confirmed that the support is continuous morally and financially for all events that serve our dear students and the representative of the department and responsible for the student volunteer team, the student Amir Faris, stated that the students contribute effectively to volunteering work as well as to carry out various activities during the current academic year in order to leave a clear imprint for the new generations.
