The Market Research and Consumer Protection Center at the University of Baghdad held a scientific symposium entitled (The Role of Women Entrepreneurs in Achieving Sustainable Development) in coordination with the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the university’s presidency via the FCC platform. The lecturers aimed to support and empower women in various issues and fields, shedding light on the role of women in society and the importance of supporting women as an important member and participant in building the community.
The symposium also included many lectures that dealt with inspiring stories of pioneering women, sustainable development, the concept of entrepreneurial women, Iraqi women and the difficulties they face in achieving sustainable development, the role of women in leadership in the decision-making process and the promotion of security and community peace, the concept of entrepreneurial women and its importance, the need to develop women and support their role in all aspects of life. The seminar also presented the experiences and stories of pioneering women who worked to develop themselves, invest the ideas and talents they possess and make them a resource for work and living, and put forward the topic of sustainable development as a concept and the role of women in achieving it and how to develop women and create opportunities for them to live and prosper.
