The Continuing Education Unit at Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering, in cooperation with the Department of Biomedical Engineering, has organized an awareness seminar on (The risk factors for breast cancer and the importance of early detection of cancer) delivered by the Assist. Prof. Dr. Ayden Kamel Mohammed.
The lecturers gave significant information about this disease, the importance of early detection, the role of radiation in diagnosing cancer, and the factors associated with, such as eating hormones unnecessarily, the need to reduce fats and red meat, the need for eating fish, vegetables and fruits, staying away from psychological pressure, exercising and drinking an appropriate quantity of water. The symposium aims to identify the need to get rid of benign and malignant tumors of breast cancer, which can be treated with acupuncture or other simple methods before they turn into malignant tumors in the future in order to preserve our health and safety.
