The Department of Biotechnologies, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, has organized a scientific workshop entitled (NCBI data and the design primers for the serial polymerization technology), in the presence of a number of students and researchers concerned with this subject.
The workshop aimed to introduce the participants to how to benefit from the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) in designing a serial polymerase technology through the use of the available tools for analyzing the design primers. The workshop, which was presented by the lecturer Widian Ghassan Ali, included a review of a series of databases related to biotechnology and biomedicine, indicating that it is an important resource for bioinformatics tools and services, which include the main databases of DNA sequences through which the researcher can design the primers for traditional and quantitative polymerase chain reaction technology along with a database of published research on biomedicine and biotechnologies.
