The lecturer Waad Adnan Ahmed from the Department of Botany and Environment at the Natural History Center and Museum, has participated in the symposium sponsored by the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad, entitled (Islamic Arts between Heritage and Contemporary), with a paper entitled (Inspiration of Islamic Heritage in Contemporary Iraqi Art).

She stressed during her speech on how to employ the heritage phenomenon in Iraq throughout the detection of forms and styles in the fifties, as well as the integration of heritage that was dealt with in a contemporary and modern way, explaining the depth of the link between art and the environment and the extent of transformation in the form and the apparent construction of artwork and how the artists adopt their aesthetic perceptions in work.
