Prof. Dr. Afra Ibrahim Khalil, a lecturer from the Department of Home Economics of the College of Education for Women, has participated in the Virtual National Forum sponsored by the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences in the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, in cooperation with the Psychological Applications Laboratory within the program of the virtual national forum on domestic violence during the Coronavirus pandemic with a working paper entitled (The psychological effects of domestic violence directed against children during the Corona period) via the Google Meet service.
This study aimed to identify the reasons for the child’s loss of self-confidence and thus have a sense of fear and reluctance to do any work and increase the child’s sense of frustration and weakness in personality and weakness or inability to make the right decisions. The researcher reached a number of recommendations, the most important of which is the establishment of workshops and seminars for young people about to get married, such as university students, for example, and focusing on positive parenting methods between parents and children and spreading awareness in society about the danger of children’s exposure to violence, especially by the parents.
