The dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women at the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Malih, in cooperation with a delegation from the Shiite Endowment Office / General Secretariat of the Holy Abbasid Shrine, Mr. Muntadhar Dhiaa Hassan al-Safi, Mr. Firas Abdul Razzaq al-Shammari, Mr. Mustafa Falah Muhammad and Mr. Saad Suhail Mahdi, has organized a qualitative lecture for the students of the undergraduate studies entitled (The Cultural Identity of Youth), in conjunction with the annual festival on the occasion of the martyrdom of the Great Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon her).
The first research paper was delivered by the lecturer Firas al-Shammari, indicating the elements of cultural identity represented by beliefs, language, customs and traditions, pointing to the manifestations of identity represented by clothes, dialects, foods and social customs, stressing that any change in these elements will lead to the obliteration of cultural identity. At the conclusion of the lecture, Dr. Fatima Abd Malih awarded the participants in this event with the shields of the college and books of thanks and appreciation in acknowledgement of the role played by the members of the delegation of the Abbasid Holy Shrine in appreciation of their efforts in holding such awareness lectures that serve the students, wishing them success in the service of the scientific process in Iraq.
