The Department of Psychology at the College of Arts has organized a workshop entitled (Common Mistakes in Writing Research: Theses and Dissertations of Psychology) in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit.

The workshop aimed to clarify some of the problems of statistical employment in the social sciences in education and psychology, such as choosing the type and size of the sample, introducing the types of factor analysis, when it can be used or abandoned in research, and how to measure the concept, and focusing on the indicators of relative importance according to alternatives instead of using the hypothetical mean, similar to the methodological procedures used in writing research in sober international journals, as well as the aesthetic aspect in selecting appropriate and understandable expressions and sentences for the reader, especially when translating some foreign terms. The workshop came out with a number of recommendations, including urging new researchers to lead the wheel towards systematic change, advancing the reality of writing letters and research, getting out of stereotypes in the way of writing and the need for a scientific ability for the researchers to provide a scientific product, and employing previous ideas and studies in their research.
