Prof. Dr. Afraa Ibrahim Khalil, a lecturer from the Department of Home Economics at the College of Education for Women, has participated in the proceedings of the Virtual International Forum sponsored by the Faculty of Law at the Mentouri Brothers University of Constantine 1 in the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria with a working paper entitled (Electronic Extortion) via the Google Meet service.
The study aimed to shed light on the process of the exploitation of others for material or lustful purposes by keeping electronic recordings so as to threaten them, reveal certain information about a person or do something to destroy his if he does not respond to some requests. The working paper reached a set of recommendations, including community education on the means of information protection, holding seminars for young people for the purpose of identifying the types of electronic extortion, and working on to approve a law to protect information privacy and data circulation.
