The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education and Ibn Sina for E-Learning Units at the College of Pharmacy, have sponsored ad organized an electronic workshop entitled (Smoking: its types, harms and risks: how to quit and prevent), which was delivered by the lecturer Azhar Mahdi Jassim, a lecturer in the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Branch.

The lecture aimed to educate the attendees, students and faculty of the dangers of smoking and passive smoking, and the lecture included various axes such as information about tobacco, nicotine, types of smoking, passive smoking, the harms and dangers of smoking, passive smoking, methods of quitting and preventing smoking. During the lecture, the definition of smoking and passive smoking and the dangers that this causes related to the health, psychological and economic status of the smoker and those around him were discussed in addition to how to prevention.
