The Assist. Prof. Dr. Noor Hatim Ridha, a lecturer from the Theoretical Sciences Branch of at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women, has obtained a patent from the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control (COSQC) in the field of designing and implementing a training device entitled (Endurance, concentration and balance of the armed arm in measuring accuracy) for the use of epee in fencing.

Dr. Noor Hatem explained the importance of fencing with three weapons, especially the blind weapon, because it is considered one of the sports that have recently witnessed a high digital development in achievement because it needs extreme accuracy in performance, since the skill of stabbing accuracy is one of the basic and important skills in fencing and it represents the final outcome to achieve the touch point. So through the continuation of training adopted by the players in beating, endurance and balance, they can perform better, especially since the weight of the weapon is 500 g and the length of the playing time takes 3 minutes in the first rounds and 9 minutes in the second stage (knockout). She also added that the player should perform several competitions per day to have an appropriate endurance to continue training and perform a number of competitions during the tournaments without decreasing the level of physical performance or skills.
