The Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Fayli Cultural House at the Ministry of Culture in the presence of a number of professors and researchers, has organized a celebration on the occasion of the World Day for Audiovisual Heritage. Prof. Dr. Ali Haddad Hussein gave a lecture entitled (Folklore: its importance and the need to take care of), speaking about popular culture studies on this international day and its importance in its material and intangible field in social culture.

Then Assist. Prof. Dr. Liqa Shaker Khattar also addressed in her lecture entitled (Audio Heritage, Folk Story as a Model), the Iraqi folklore which includes stories, legends, poems and games, especially the ascetic folk story in our heritage, the most famous of which is the story of the One Thousand and One Nights, adding that folk literature is greatly related to the issues of the people, their heritage, customs and traditions. Also Assist. Lecturer Kazim Sarhan discussed during her lecture (The meaning of heritage and how to preserve it) themes related to heritage is a reflection of the culture of all peoples, as it indicates all the customs and traditions left by ancestors and ancestors, music, proverbs, folk tales, plastic and theatrical arts, the practices by which peoples preserve their national identity that are distinguishing them from other peoples.
