Dr. Jalal Nasser Jaber, a lecturer from the Department of Chemistry at the College of Science, was recently selected to be a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS), which is one of the non-profit scientific societies in the United States of America concerned with supporting scientific research in the field of chemistry.

This chemical sciences institution is one of the largest scientific societies in the world, having been founded at New York University in 1876, as well as being one of the prominent sources of documented scientific information in the field of chemistry, with more than 158,000 members in all academic degrees and branches of chemistry, such as chemical engineering and others. It is noteworthy that this institution is usually electing a group of promising researchers to revew research to be published in sober journals, where it has recently chosen Dr. Jalal Nasser to be one of its members in recognition of his evaluation of a number of studies published by the Journal of Analytical Chemistry which is an international peer-reviewed journal covering theoretical and applied aspects of analytical chemistry with an impact factor of 8.11.
