The Department of Home Economics at the College of Education for Women, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College held the workshop entitled “The Effect of Methods of Extracting Phenolic Compounds from Food” where the lecturers were given by the lecturer Dr. Wiam Abdul Wahid in the presence of a group of professors and students. The workshop aimed to identify modern and traditional methods of extracting phenolic compounds with biological efficacy, as well as recommending the selection of suitable extraction conditions that lead to the preservation of biological effectiveness of the products and the commitment to maintain the environmental factors associated with the extraction conditions.
