The Division of Student Activities of the College of Arts at the University of Baghdad has recently organized a training workshop entitled (The Dangers of Playing on Industrial Grass), in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, and that was attended by the assistant dean for administrative affairs, Assist. Prof. Dr. Suhaila Najim Abd as well as a number of professors and students.
The workshop aimed to develop and strengthen the preventive culture among kids and adults to maintain health at the physical, mental and social levels and to be safe when practicing sports by avoid playing on the artificial grass that also called artificial turf that is a surface of synthetic fibers made to look like natural grass. It is most often used in arenas for sports that were originally or are normally played on grass.
