Assist. Prof. Dr. Amin Abdul Hassan Manea al-Alwani, the dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad, met with His Excellency the Iraqi Minister of Health, Dr. Hani Musa al-Aqabi, in his official office at the ministry’s headquarters. The meeting was attended also by the Administrative Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, the Director General of the Inspection Department, the Director General of the Baghdad Rusafa Health Department and the Director of the Information Technology Center at the Ministry.
They discussed strengthening relations and scientific cooperation and discussing joint files between the two sides, the most important of which is finding solutions for joint buildings with the Department of Forensic Medicine, and the issue of providing the college with new physicians for the main branches, due to the college’s need for medical staff. In this regard, His Excellency the Minister of Health indicated the ministry’s keenness to provide full support to the college of medicine and to work to find the necessary solutions as soon as possible, and to work on completing the procedures for transferring services to doctors, and he visited the college directly and was briefed on the ongoing rehabilitation and restoration work in the college. The Minister of Health was accompanied on his visit by the Director of Projects and Engineering Services and the Director of the Forensic Medicine Department.
