The Director of the Center and Museum of Natural History, Assist. Prof. Dr. Hana Hani al-Saffar, and the heads of the scientific departments there have recently received a committee from the Military Industrialization Authority within a series of scientific and administrative activities and cooperation mechanism with state institutions supported by the presidency of the University of Baghdad. In this occasion, the center held a training workshop on the (Occupational Safety and Fire Treatment Methods) organized by the Continuing Education Unit at the center in cooperation with the Civil Defense Directorate.
The training workshop aimed to maintain occupational safety in state departments and scientific laboratories in particular, methods of dealing with hazardous materials inside the laboratory and flammable, as well as how to put out fires with the appropriate tools. The lecturers emphasized occupational safety procedures within the center and laboratories in particular, the mechanism of using fire extinguishers and evacuating the injured. At the end of the workshop, the director of the center dedicated certificates of thanks and appreciation to the Military Industrialization Committee in recognition of their efforts in spreading occupational safety in the community and maintaining public safety.
