The College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad has lately organized a training workshop entitled (First Aid) in the presence of a number of students of undergraduate studies and professors. The workshop aimed to identify the process of first aid, which is the first assistance provided by a specialized or non-specialized individual to a human being in a situation that threatens his life or causes disability or severe pain, due to a sudden illness or accident, in order to preserve his life and prevent complications until he is transferred to the hospital or the arrival of the medical team.
The workshop also included many aspects, the most important of which is its importance, training axes, required skills of paramedic students in order to save the life of people until the arrival of the medical team. The researchers called on all students to learn the principles of first aid and how to use the simplest means to provide assistance in the event of any emergency at the college or anywhere to preserve the life of the injured and prevent the occurrence of temporary or permanent disability as well as the rapid recovery of the injured.
