The Laser Institute of Medical and Biological Applications Branch, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, at the Laser Institute for Postgraduate Studies held an awareness lecture entitled (Hemorrhagic fever: causes and prevention).
This event was presided over by the head of the Medical and Biological Applications Branch, Assist. Prof. Dr. Layla Mohammed Hassan with the aim to raise the awareness of community to introduce the Hemorrhagic fever and its causes and how to prevention. The first lecturer was given by the assistant dean for postgraduate studies, the lecturer Dr. Jawad Abdul Kadhim Hassan who talked about how diseases are spread, how to prevent them and the prospects of treatment in Iraq, its symptoms and methods of diagnosis. The second lecture was delivered by the lecturer Mohammed Ghaleb Razzouqi, who has a master degree in dentistry who gave an introductory overview about viral hemorrhagic fever, its spread in Iraq and the percentage of deaths among animals such as goats, sheep and insects, then to humans, the duration of incubation of the virus in humans and animals, and the need to diagnose its causes via laboratory tests.
