The Assist. Prof. Nibras Mohammed Abdul Rasool, the head of the Department of Valuation of Goods and Performance of Services of the Center for Market Research and Consumer Protection at the University of Baghdad, has participated in an introductory symposium on the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) sponsored by the Specifications Department at the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control (COSQC).
Then the engineer Majida Sayyar Harak, the head of the Engineering Specifications Division & Rapporteur of the Iraqi Electrotechnical Commission talked about the establishment of this commission, membership, types of publications and types of conformity assessment in the presence of a number of professors and representatives of the University of Technology, the Central Technical University, the Ministry of Electricity, the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, the Ministry of Oil and the Ministry of Science and Technology.
