Symposium on copyright and publishing controls at the center for continuing education

The Center for Continuing Education at the University of Baghdad held the scientific symposium entitled: “A Scientific Book between Copyright and Publishing Controls” with the purpose of highlighting the rights of the author to publish his works, the right to review and editing publications and the related publishing controls adopted worldwide. The lecturer presented a set of proposals, including the need to update the legal protection of intellectual property rights of researchers in order to activate them in the light of the current paper and electronic publication of research, as well as the establishment of a workshop on the quality standards and the specifications of electronic publishing houses.
