The Media and Public Relations Division, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, has organized an awareness lecture entitled “Digital Drugs and the Challenges of Digital Media” in the presence of a number of students and members of educational guidance committees.
The lecturer was delivered by the Assist. Lecturer Ilham Hamid Khudair with the aim to introduce the concept of digital drugs and what they are, as well as to identify the method of their work, their seriousness and methods of receiving, as well as to identify the types of digital drugs and methods of prevention, as a scourge that destroys society, as well as its goal in highlighting the formation of personality and the goals of life for which ambition is built and creativity is achieved and the negatives of addiction and the most important reasons that prompted the use of drugs and the health, psychological, social and legal damage that affects its users. She also reviewed a map formulated to detect the distribution of addicted in the country according to gender, age groups and their social status, pointing to their educational levels, professions and the impact of the social environment on this phenomenon and the need to uncover the reasons behind such behaviors, types of drugs including the digital drugs and providing the most important methods that should be adopted for prevention and treatment.
