The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Arts at the University of Baghdad has organized a workshop on (Violence against Women: Motivations, Effects and Remedies), in the presence of a number of female and male employees at the college. The workshop aimed to develop a preventive approach and comprehensive legal, political, administrative and cultural measures to enhance the protection of women from all forms of violence, as well as to allocate adequate resources in government budgets for activities to eliminate such violence and attention to the education sector, in addition to modifying social and cultural behaviors so as to get rid of aggressive practices against women in general.
