The college of dentistry at the University of Baghdad has organized a scientific seminar entitled (Environmental Pollution) chaired by Prof. Dr. Fadia Abdul Mohsen in the presence of a number of lecturers at the college. She defined pollution as the case of availability of a high amount of substances in their gaseous, liquid, or solid forms, or the addition of one of the forms of energy, such as: acoustic, thermal, radiological activities, and others within the environment, which makes them unable to analyze, dissipate, dilute, or recycle these substances and energy, as they become unable to store materials and various forms of energy in harmless forms, and this pollution is known as environmental pollution for including substances that have a negative impact on the environment, or the organisms that live in it. This event also witnessed a reference to other themes such as clarifying the types of pollution and their harms and the most important ways to reduce and control pollution, then recommending the need to raise awareness among the segments of society to reduce the phenomenon of pollution and preserve the environment.
