Assist. Prof. Dr. Athmar Shaker Majeed al-Shatri, the dean of the college of education for women, has participated in an academic lecture held at the college of political science at the University of Baghdad entitled “The Challenges of Iraqi National Security in the Light of Regional and International Developments”. The lecture was initiated by the dean of the college of political science, Prof. Dr. Adel Abdul Hamza Thijeel, who explained the importance of the role of the Iraqi National Security Agency in collecting and analyzing intelligence on terrorist organizations and groups hostile to the state, as well as following up on everything related to their activities in order to take appropriate measures to face the challenges of Iraqi national security.
For his part, the head of the Iraqi National Security Agency, Mr. Hamid al-Shatri, addressed during his lecture on regional and international challenges and developments that have a direct impact on Iraqi national security and the diagnosis of current and future risks, as well as providing solutions, treatments and capabilities and referring to Iraqi capabilities and their role in facing these dangers and challenges. Then the dean of the college spoke through her intervention about the role of universities in achieving sustainable security through studies, research, conferences and seminars that are presented for this purpose, and at the conclusion of this event she has dedicated the shield of the college and a letter of thanks and appreciation to Mr. Hamid al-Shatri and his fruitful efforts exerted for the sake of preserving the security of Iraq and its people at all levels.
