The Media and Public Relations Unit, in cooperation with the Women’s Empowerment and Support Committees for Volunteer Work at the College of Pharmacy, held a volunteer awareness activity under the slogan “Breast Cancer and Early Detection: Causes and Treatment”.
This event included several activities, the first of which was a lecture delivered by the official of the clinic for the early detection of breast cancer in the Kadhimiya Teaching Hospital, then the opening of an art exhibition of the paintings, handicrafts made by a number of our dear students during a charity bazaar including also scientific posters related to breast cancer and that are emphasizing the need for early detection, prevention and treatment methods that can be adopted by the students under the supervision of their professors. Then a tour was made by the professors and students to distribute awareness leaflets in Bab Al-Moatham College Complex where the target group was female employees and some passerby women. It is noteworthy that this event was characterized by fun and strengthening the relationship of students with their professors, and breaking the study routine, as well as encourage the student’s talents and supporting their small projects.
